This whole project has been an amazing experience. The two of us became friends through Vimeo and explored a shared interest in timelapsing Yosemite National Park over an extended period of time. We’d like to expand this idea to other locations and would appreciate any suggestions for a future project.

Our hearts go out to the families of Markus Praxmarer who lost his life while climbing Half Dome on September 19th, 2011 and Ranger Ryan Hiller, who was crushed by a tree January 22nd 2012. They will be missed. (A photo of Ranger Ryan Hiller can be found to the right above the statistics counter)

Landscapes: Volume Two

Watch this at full screen and HD.

The creator of this stunning piece is Dustin Farrell. “Every frame of this video is a raw still from a Canon 5D2 DSLR and processed with Adobe software,” he says “I felt that showing them again with motion controlled HDR and/or night timelapse would be a new way to see old landmarks.”

NYC in HD

This is a really remarkable video by Andre Merilo. It’s long, so it’s split into two parts. When I watched it would buffer quite often. The solution that worked for me was to put it on pause and go do something else for about five minutes. Then it seemed to play smoothly.

Here’s part one.
